The Mother Load

The Mother Load project networks with a diverse group of over 100 professional artists who are mothers, from over 10 countries. Began as a collaboration with Natalie Macellaio in 2012, this project has grown to create a platform for a growing community of artists/mothers. Through this project we aim to foster a network that will grow to support new avenues to share common experiences via online platforms and through exhibition and community based interactive works.  Our website is a resource for anyone in the world to engage with and is the source of numerous opportunities to meet other artists while we explore the role of social media in community based art practice. Through continued exhibition of this project, we work to foster an environment for diverse communities to respond to concepts developed from this network, opening ideas and conversations that tie our common experiences together.
